Lytle-Barnett Featured at Method Oregon

We are proud to announce that Lytle-Barnett will be featured at Method Oregon Grand Tasting, a celebration of the pioneers and innovators behind Oregon's traditional-method sparkling wine. We've been working hard to plan this collaboration and are excited to share the news.

Method Oregon is not just an event; it represents a bold new designation for sparkling wines crafted using the traditional method. These wines undergo a minimum of 15 months of aging, achieve four atmospheres of pressure, and are grown and produced entirely in Oregon. This movement is being led by some of Oregon's top sparkling wine producers, including Lytle-Barnett's Co-Founder Andy Lytle and Director of Winemaking Andrew Davis, both founding members and passionate advocates of méthode champenoise. Method Oregon celebrates the exceptional craftsmanship and unique terroir of Oregon's sparkling wine industry.

Oregon Sparkling Wine Movement Gains Momentum with the Launch of the Method Oregon Grand Tasting, an Event Created by the Region’s Leading Sparkling Wine Producers
22 producers dedicated to high-standard sparkling wine production announce a summer grand tasting event set for July 26, 2025
DAYTON, Ore., March 31, 2025 — It’s no secret that Oregon sparkling wine is rising in popularity as a leading wine category. Five Oregon traditional method sparkling wines were named to the Wine Enthusiast Top 100 list in 2024—including the #1 spot. In a state where more than 1,100 producers make wine, well over 100 now make sparkling wine in the traditional method, also known as Methode Traditionnelle or Méthode Champenoise.
Today, in the spirit of the state’s famously collaborative winemaking culture, 22 of these wineries are announcing the Method Oregon Grand Tasting— a new tasting and education event set for Saturday, July 26, 2025. All wines featured at the event will be Oregon-made traditional method bubbles with a minimum of 15 months of tirage aging.
Hundreds of guests will have the opportunity to taste more than 50 traditional method sparkling wines assembled under one roof. Educational experiences throughout the event will spotlight the intricacies of traditional method, why Oregon’s terroir is so special, and how Oregon’s traditional method sparkling industry has grown to what it is today. This history-making event will be held at Domaine Willamette, which biodynamically farms 20 acres of chardonnay, pinot noir, and pinot meunier for both sparkling and still wine.
Tickets are available now at the Method Oregon website. Tasting-only passes are available for $150, with limited All Access passes available for $250. In addition to the tasting, VIP ticket holders will have the opportunity to attend a panel discussion with the pioneers and innovators of Oregon’s fast-growing sparkling wine industry, enjoy a luxurious lunch by the acclaimed Domaine Willamette culinary team, mingle with the winemakers throughout the day, and attend a VIP tasting hour featuring carefully curated paired bites.
The Method Oregon Grand Tasting is designed to highlight the singularity of Oregon terroir for traditional method sparkling wine. “Our state’s unique geography delivers freshness, acidity, and a distinctively Oregon fruit profile that are ideal for the long aging required by traditional method production,” says Jeanne Feldkamp, co-owner and co-winemaker for Corollary Wines.
Andy Lytle, founder of sparkling producer Lytle-Barnett, sees the timing of the event as a perfect way to turn sparkling fans into evangelizing superfans. “We’ve long been focused on elevating Oregon traditional method as a category that everyone should be paying attention to, and we’re happy to see so many people discovering the world-class wines from our region,” he said. “We’re creating a can’t-miss summer event that we hope will grow to attract an international audience. Our goal is to empower every person who attends to share the story of Oregon traditional method sparkling with their own friends and family.”
